The Delta Module 2 Fully Online Part Time Extensive Course covers Module 2 of the Delta in its entirety, including all of the course work and the external assessment. 

The course includes the following components:

Twenty three-hour live online input sessions covering all of the methodolgy and knowledge needed to be successful in Delta Module Two.

An observed diagnostic lesson with full feedback on what areas need to be focused on to be able to pass Delta Module Two assessed lessons.

Four assessed observations, two of language lessons and two of skills lessons.  Three are internally assessed by the course tutors and one is externally assessed by a Cambrdige English Delta assesor.  Each assessed lesson includes a background essay, a lesson plan, the lesson and a reflection.

Individual online support tutorials for each assessed lesson.

An unassessed experimental practice lesson and reflective essay.

A continuous reflective assignment, discussing your progress throughout the course.

Friday 1st March to Friday 22nd November 2024

 

Input sessions on Friday mornings 9:30 – 12:30 Live through Zoom (except first Friday of the month from April to June and only every second Friday from August to November). 

Teaching practice and feedback 

Seven mornings during the year between 9.30 – 13.00 Mon-Fri or online with your own classes TBC with course tutors at interview.

How to apply for Delta Modules at IH Buenos Aires

Firstly, to be considered you need to meet the following requirements:

  •      Applicants should be aged 20 or over.
  •      Applicants must have an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables them to undertake the course and prepare for teaching a range of levels. This would ideally be at Cambridge Assessment English CPE (Proficiency) level (CEF C2).
  •      Applicants must have a standard of education which would allow entrance to higher education in their country.
  •      Applicants will normally hold an initial ELT qualification.
  •      Applicants should have a minimum of two year’s full-time teaching experience at a range of levels in a range of contexts, including both adults and children.

Secondly, you need to complete the application form and the application tasks and email them to us at delta@ih-buenosaires.com.  If your initial application is successful then you will be invited for interview.  In some cases we may request additional information before your application can be considered further.  Overseas applicants will be interviewed by Skype/Facetime.

Successful candidates will receive a formal acceptance email, together with details for payment.  We can only reserve places on courses for applicants who have made an initial deposit.  Full payment must be made four weeks before the course starts.

Payment may be made locally by cheque from an Argentine account, bank deposit or transfer; or by international wire transfer.

Cambridge English enrolment fees are subject to change before the course start date.
