The DELTA 1 Online Preparation course takes place completely online.  Live Zoom sessions are every Friday, except for bank holidays, and asynchronous tasks will be set every Friday to be completed ahead of the following live class.

The mock exam is done individually at home and marked by the Delta Module 1 tutors in the fortnight preceding the exam.  The DELTA Module 1 exam itself is held twice a year on the first Wednesday of June and December in the morning.

As an approved Delta Modules exam centre, IH Buenos Aires hosts the Delta Module One exam each June and December. We do not recommend taking the exam without doing a preparation course first. However, if you decide against taking a preparation course, or have already done one at another centre, you are welcome to join us at IH Buenos Aires to take your exam.

The enrolment deadline for the exam is four weeks before exam day, which is always the first Wednesday in June and December. We must receive your enrolment fee before this date in order to be able to enrol you for the exam.

Please contact delta@ih-buenosaires.com, at least six weeks before the Delta Module One exam, stating your full name as you wish it to appear on your certificate, your sex and date of birth, whether or not you have taken a preparation course or the exam itself before, and we will send you payment details.

We must receive your exam enrolment fee at least 24 hours before the enrolment deadline in order to enrol you.

Delta Module One Online Preparation course fee:  USD550

Delta Module One Cambridge English enrolment fee:  USD440

The enrolment fee is subject to change at the discretion of Cambridge English.

There is a 10% discount on the enrolment fee for candidates who took the preparation course with IH Buenos Aires.

Candidates who take the Delta Module One Online Preparation course with IH Buenos Aires will be offered a 10% discount on the Combined Delta Modules courses.

Firstly, to be considered you need to meet the following requirements:

• Applicants should be aged 20 or over.
• Applicants must have an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken, that enables them to undertake the course and prepare for teaching a range of levels. This would ideally be at Cambridge Assessment English CPE (Proficiency) level (CEF C2).
• Applicants must have a standard of education which would allow entrance to higher education in their country.
• Applicants will normally hold an initial ELT qualification.
• Applicants should have a minimum of two year’s full-time teaching experience at a range of levels in a range of contexts, including both adults and children.
• Applicants must have a good grasp of basic computer skills – creating word and powerpoint docs, sending emails, forum posting etc.

Secondly, you need to complete the application form and the application tasks and email them to us at delta@ih-buenosaires.com.  If your initial application is successful then you will be invited for interview.  In some cases we may request additional information before your application can be considered further.  Overseas applicants will be interviewed by Skype/Facetime.

Successful candidates will receive a formal acceptance email, together with details for payment. We can only reserve places on courses for applicants who have made an initial deposit. Full payment must be made four weeks before the course starts.

When applying, please state whether you are applying for the Friday morning course (9.30 – 12.30) or Friday afternoon course (13.30 – 16.30).

To reserve your place on the course you will need to make a deposit

Full fees must be paid (four weeks) before the course starts.

Candidates who pay in full ten weeks before the start of the course receive an ‘early bird’ discount of 10%.

Payment may be made locally by cheque from an Argentine account, bank deposit or transfer; or by international wire transfer.

Cambridge English Enrolment fees are subject to change before the course start date.
